Industrial land and buildings, 225 kV substation
Former industrial site next to a grid substation, with capacity confirmed by the network operator and prior approval from the local municipality.
Land sourcing — energy & digital infrastructure
ARV Conseil matches the land requirements of solar developers and data centre operators with local authorities that have sites available.
This activity serves two complementary audiences: industry professionals, to whom ARV Conseil brings qualified land for their projects, and municipalities and local authorities, whom we help find the right partners to make the most of land already earmarked for energy production.
Track record
Two anonymised examples of sites currently handled by ARV Conseil for energy or digital infrastructure projects.
Former industrial site next to a grid substation, with capacity confirmed by the network operator and prior approval from the local municipality.
Large site with substantial existing parking and direct access from a motorway junction — land bank for an energy or digital infrastructure conversion project.
Other strategic asset types can be found in our track record.
For industry professionals
On behalf of solar developers and data centre owners or operators, ARV Conseil sources and qualifies available land meeting their technical criteria, then facilitates contact with the landowners or local authorities concerned.
Solar land
5 contiguous hectares, outside areas with major environmental constraints.
Close to a grid substation, generally within 5 km of the site.
Land zoned A or N (agricultural or natural) in the local plan, compatible with ground-mounted solar.
Data centre land
Close to a high-voltage (HTB) substation, with significant electrical capacity available.
Access to fibre-optic infrastructure and network interconnection points.
Industrial or business-zoned land, large enough for a secure site.
For municipalities and local authorities
Some municipalities already have land identified or earmarked for energy production, without always knowing which developer or operator to approach. ARV Conseil supports local officials in connecting with professionals — solar developers or data centre operators — and in understanding the technical and contractual aspects of the project, while preserving the local living environment.
Network infrastructure tax (IFER) for a solar project, or property tax and business tax (CFE) for an industrial site such as a data centre.
Long-term ground lease rent (bail emphytéotique) paid by the developer or operator throughout the operating life of the site.
Benefits through PPA-type mechanisms or French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) tenders for solar projects.
Making use of otherwise dormant land and, depending on the project, creating jobs and economic activity for the area.
